VIRTUAL EDUCATION SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES

When School Isn’t Working,
You Don’t Have to Figure It Out Alone.

Whether your child is struggling academically, emotionally, socially—or you simply know their current education isn’t meeting their needs—it can be incredibly difficult to know what to do next.

A Family Education Strategy Session gives you 90 uninterrupted minutes with an experienced educator who will listen to the full story, help you make sense of what is happening, and work with you to create a clearer path forward.

Private 90-Minute Virtual Consultation
Introductory Rate: $99

Available to the first 10 families. Regularly $150.

You Know Something Needs to Change.
You Just Aren’t Sure What.

Maybe your child is falling behind even though you know they are capable.

Maybe school has become a daily source of anxiety, frustration, conflict, or tears.

Maybe you’re questioning a placement, an IEP, available supports, homeschooling, alternative education—or whether you’re even asking the right questions.

Or maybe you have so much information coming at you that you can’t tell what actually applies to your family.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, you aren’t failing. The educational system can be incredibly difficult to understand and navigate—especially when you’re trying to do it while also supporting a child who is struggling.

You deserve a place to slow everything down, talk through the whole picture, and decide what makes sense for your family.

Does This Sound Like Your Family?

✓ Your child is struggling, but you aren’t sure why.

✓ You don’t feel heard or understood by your child’s school.

✓ You’re worried that your child’s needs aren’t being adequately addressed.

✓ You’re preparing for a school meeting and don’t know what to ask.

✓ You’re trying to understand an IEP, 504 Plan, evaluation, placement, or support recommendation.

✓ You’re considering homeschooling or another educational option.

✓ School stress is affecting your child—or your entire family.

✓ You’ve received plenty of advice but still don’t have a practical plan.

You do not need to have the problem perfectly identified before scheduling. Helping you sort that out is part of the session.

What Is a Family Education Strategy Session?

This is a private, 90-minute virtual consultation centered entirely around your child, your concerns, and your family’s needs.

Before we meet, you’ll complete a brief intake form so I can understand your situation and make the best use of our time together.

Look at the Whole Picture

We’ll discuss your child’s strengths, challenges,

educational history, current environment, and

the concerns keeping you up at night.

Identify the Real Priorities

We’ll separate what feels urgent from what needs to happen first, identify missing information, and clarify the questions that still need answers.

Explore Your Options

Depending on your situation, we may discuss school-based supports, evaluations, communication strategies, alternative learning options, advocacy resources, or ways to support your child at home.

Create a Practical Next-Step Plan

We’ll turn the conversation into manageable action steps so you leave knowing what to do next—not carrying an even longer list of things to worry about.

You’ll Leave With More Than a Conversation

Your Family Education Strategy Session includes:

✓ A pre-session family intake questionnaire

✓ A private 90-minute virtual consultation

✓ An individualized discussion of your

child’s needs and circumstances

✓ Help identifying your family’s most important priorities

✓ Practical recommendations and possible next steps

✓ Questions you may want to bring to your child’s school or support team

✓ Relevant educational and family-support resources

✓ A clearer understanding of your available options

✓ Your Family Education Parent Survival Guide

✓ Your Family Advocacy Guide

Most importantly, you’ll leave with clarity, direction, and the reassurance that you do not have to untangle everything at once.

About Heather...

me-flower pic.jpg

Hi, I’m Heather.

I’m an educator, Certified Professional Coach, and mom of three—and I understand how deeply personal decisions about a child’s education can feel.

I have more than a decade of experience in public and private education, as well as advanced training in professional coaching. I’ve worked with children and families whose needs, strengths, and circumstances don’t always fit neatly into the boxes educational systems create.

But you won’t be meeting with someone who is there to lecture you, judge your choices, or hand you a generic checklist.

My role is to listen carefully, help you make sense of the information in front of you, and work beside you to identify options that make sense for your actual child and your actual family.

You know your child. I bring the educational knowledge, outside perspective, and strategic support to help you decide what comes next.

Questions You May Have

Is the session completely virtual?

Yes. Sessions are held virtually so families can meet from wherever they feel most comfortable. You’ll receive the meeting information after booking.

Does my child need to attend?

Not necessarily. Most sessions can be completed with a parent or caregiver. Based on your child’s age, needs, and comfort level, we can decide whether including them for part of the conversation would be beneficial.

Do I need to live in West Milford?

No. Because the session is virtual, families do not need to live locally. However, educational laws, procedures, and available resources vary by state. Please identify your location in the intake form so recommendations can be tailored appropriately.

What should I have available?

Bring anything that may help us understand the situation, such as recent report cards, evaluations, an IEP or 504 Plan, school correspondence, work samples, or notes about your concerns. You do not need to organize everything perfectly before we meet.

What if I don’t know exactly what kind of help I need?

That is completely okay—and very common. You only need to know that something isn’t working as well as it should. We’ll begin there.

Is this only for children in public school?

No. Sessions may be helpful for families using public school, private school, homeschooling, online learning, or alternative educational arrangements.

Is this legal representation or a formal educational evaluation?

No. A Family Education Strategy Session provides educational guidance, planning support, and general advocacy resources. It is not legal advice, legal representation, therapy, diagnosis, or a formal educational evaluation.

What happens after I pay?

You’ll be directed to the scheduling calendar to choose your virtual appointment. You’ll also receive instructions for completing your intake form before the session.

You Don’t Need Every Answer Today

You just need a safe place to begin, someone who will listen to the entire story, and a plan for the next right steps.

Let’s take what currently feels confusing and overwhelming—and make it feel manageable.
